Solemnity of the Most Holy Body and Blood of
Christ (Corpus Christi)

"My flesh is true food, and my blood is true drink." (John 6:55)

Pan de Vida — Cuerpo del Señor

When we celebrate the Holy Eucharist and the priest proclaims, “Take and eat; this is my Body,” and “Take and drink; this is my Blood,” the saving sacrifice of Jesus Christ becomes present among us. The sacrifice of Calvary is made present at every Mass—not in a bloody manner, but under the appearances of bread and
wine.

In Holy Communion, we receive Jesus Christ Himself—Body, Blood, Soul, and Divinity. When we answer “Amen” and receive Him worthily, Christ is born in our hearts. As Mary welcomed Jesus into her womb at the Annunciation, we welcome Him into our hearts in the Eucharist. Through this sacred encounter, we grow in
sanctifying grace and are united more deeply with Our Lord.

There is no greater gift on earth than receiving Jesus in the Most Holy Eucharist. Through Holy Communion, He nourishes our souls, strengthens our faith, increases His life within us, and draws us closer to Him.

Today, on this great Solemnity of Corpus Christi, let us adore Christ truly present in the Blessed Sacrament. Let us worship Him, love Him, and thank Him for the immeasurable gift of His Body and Blood.

“O Sacrament Most Holy, O Sacrament Divine, all praise and all thanksgiving be every moment Thine.”  — Fr. Robin
