  The Latin Mass

If you don't know where you came from or how you got to where you are, how can you expect to understand where you're going next? Una Voce is a fascinating journey, is unabashedly orthodox and operates in full communion with the Magisterium of the Catholic Church.

"The International Una Voce Federation has played an important role in supporting the use of the 1962 edition of the Roman Missal in obedience to the directives of the Holy See. For this valuable service I express my gratitude to the members of the Federation and extend my blessing." (Cardinal Joseph Ratzinger, Prefect of the Congregation of the Doctrine of the Faith, speaking to the Una Voce Federation, 25 July 1996s)

  Adoremus

Adoremus - Society for the Renewal of the Sacred Liturgy is an association of Catholics established in 1995 to promote authentic reform of the liturgy of the Roman Rite. The mission of Adoremus is "to rediscover and restore the beauty, the holiness, the power of the Church's rich liturgical tradition while remaining faithful to an organic, living process of renewal." This organization is an excellent example of how to work for a more authentic observance of liturgical norms while maintaining a true spirit of obedience and humility.

Canons Regular of the New Jerusalem

Archbishop Raymond Burke established the Canons Regular of the New Jerusalem in the Diocese of La Crosse (Wis.) on June 22, 2002. The Canons relocated to the Archdiocese of St. Louis in November of 2004.

The Canons Regular of the New Jerusalem seek perfection of the worship of God using the 1962 liturgy in the celebration of Holy Mass in its historic Latin form, consistent, Bishop Burke noted, with his holiness Pope John Paul's Ecclesia Dei Adflicta of 1988.

Online resource of linked articles on the issue of abortion in the Philippines, its legality, morality and the Church's position. A reminder to us all that the Church is alive and well all over the world, and that the world itself is indeed a very small place.

Dead Men Walking - the Truth About Abortion

Not for the theologically squeamish. Also not for small children. This is an “eyewitness" account of a 1st Century disciple of Jesus who confirms that those who take the life of the unborn are themselves dead men/women walking! Early writings demonstrate what Jesus taught: If we sin against the Son of Man, that will be forgiven, but if we sin against the Holy Spirit who brings forth life, this will never be forgiven! Choice is a matter of your own life or death. Whatever your deepest feelings (or doubts) about Right to Life issues, this website will stick in your memory like glue.

Extremely easy to use even on a daily basis, with a treasure trove of info about feast days, the Mass itself, even the priest’s vestment colors. You can even have the day’s readings emailed to you. Now is that easy or what?

Praying Toward Sunday

From prestigious and very theological St. Louis University, an elegant and easy way to prepare yourself for next Sunday’s liturgy. Get more out of Mass by coming prepared.
USCCB NAB Here's another version of the daily liturgy, from the United States Conference of Catholic Bishops website. By the day or by the month, go at it five ways — read the day's Mass readings online, print them out, have them downloaded as a Podcast or into your PDA, or as MP3 audio files. Saint of the Day, questions about the Bible generally, and more.
  Liturgical Latin

No, the Church is not going to go back to the Latin Mass. Yes, the Church still gives Latin chant (and pipe organs) primacy of place in her recommendations for liturgical music. Besides, we have a 1700-year investment in this unchanging and thus universal language -- just think of all that has happened in that span of time! Here's a place where you can download (and hear) prayers, parts of the Mass and even music in MP3 format, brought to you courtesy of those canny Jesuits at the University of San Francisco. Relax and enjoy.

  MAGNIFICAT

MAGNIFICAT is a lavishly printed, easy-to-read pocket-sized worship aid, of more than 400 pages. An annual subscription promises fourteen issues – once a month with special issues for Holy Week and Christmas. A yearly subscription costs about the same as one meal for two at a decent restaurant.

MAGNIFICAT can be used to follow the daily Mass and can also be read at home for personal or family prayer.
This monthly liturgical prayer book provides a fitting way to enter fully into the Church's liturgical rhythms and spiritual legacy.

  Natural Family Planning

Natural Family Planning (NFP) is not contraception. NFP gives a married couple a way to space out childbirths and limit the total number of children. But it does not give the couple complete control over procreation. (Well, condoms and The Pill are a bit of a gamble, too, in more ways than one...)

Even when the couple prayerfully decides to limit their family size, or to wait before having another child, NFP is open to the possibility of life and to the will of God. NFP is used in a moral and praiseworthy manner when the couple, though making responsible decisions about family size, are still willing to accept an unplanned child from God's Providence.
